To celebrate our first wedding anniversary yesterday Christo and I decided to visit Banham Zoo for the day. The weather wasn't as good as this time last year but we made the most of the day! We have been to a lot of zoos over the years but we did really enjoy ourselves.

The staff were really good, we attended two 'Birds of the World' talks and one 'Amazing Animals' and they were both very good! We got to see a lot of the animals during the talks, learn some interesting facts along with some light hearted jokes - which were really needed considering it was pouring with rain! The highlights for me were seeing the birds flying, especially the macaws who did some awesome formation flying. I also enjoyed seeing a bird 'murder' a rubber snake and a cat running around some ropes above our heads!

We enjoyed lunch onsite in the pizza restaurant, which although a tad pricy (but what do you expect for a zoo?) was really tasty and filling! We also had an extremely tasty brownie in the afternoon (although it must have had a million calories in it!). I would definitely recommend a visit and I think we will likely go back again in the future (hopefully on a drier day!) 😂😁Read more
