Trinity Point

We actually got into Whittier around Midnight as the Captain decided to come alongside early due to poor weather.
He wasn’t wrong - the weather when we woke up was miserable but we weren’t in Whittier for long as we disembarked the ship at 07:30 straight onto our Coach Transfer to Denali National Park where we’d be spending the night and enjoying the following day.

This transfer with a stop at a bird sanctuary and for lunch at Talkeetna was just over 8hrs. On route we managed to spot lots of Eagles and some Moose grazing out in the far distance. The scenes on this drive were to die for, especially the mountain ranges even if Denali was covered behind some clouds!

The weather really brightened up along this journey and when we arrived we quickly unpacked to join our evening ATV excursion with Black Diamond. This was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area (not in the national park), scenery and dinner with our guide.Read more
