Beautiful walking in Zermatt

I took the high speed funicular inside a mountain, a bit like a Disney ride, with a small patch of blue up ahead gradually getting bigger as suddenly you emerge into the sunshine of Sunegga plateau. Just a small lake, and walking trails heading off in different directions. I set off to walk down to Zermatt, passing through flower filled meadows, a field of cows, mountain restaurants with scenic backdrops, the Matterhorn on the horizon and once again hot sun overhead. This was one of the best mountain walks I have done, with the path gradually descending, passing through a pine forest offering some dappled shade, across the Gornergrat rail tracks and back into Zermatt main street where the temperature was in the high 80's.Baca selengkapnya
