Cuenca Alta Manzanares Regional Park

Only 45 minutes from Madrid you can find this absolutely beautiful national park; lake, river, forests, rocks, snowcapped mountaines everything you need for a big hike with fantastic sceneries. The walk started from the middle of the park from a small village called Manzanares El Real. Unsure how much we walked but it seemed a lot by the time we sat down for our celebration beers and tapas. We had just about enough energy to check out the castle before we headed back to Madrid with sore feet and burned shoulders.Read more
