Room with a view

We're staying at Barony Castle Hotel tonight, which was created as a "tower house" (similar ideas as a castle). Cole and I got the best view (5th floor rooms). I'm a little confused about our floor number though. We had to go to the 1st floor, then go up 2 flights of stairs, and that put us on the 5th floor......
