Tower Bridge

This bridge is often called "London Bridge", however, it is actually called "Tower Bridge". The middle section folds up when boats need to sail through. We've heard from two separate people that in the 70s, a coach didn't see the stop signal to alert him that the bridge was opening. According to both people, the bridge had already started to open, so the coach hit the gas and jumped over the gap. Everyone arrived safely.
I tend to believe the story, because if it was a fake and/or cautionary tale, it would not have had a happy ending!Meer informatie
