L’Anse aux Meadows

We left Gros Morne today and headed up the peninsula. We made a stop at Arches provincial park before finishing the drive at L’Anse aux Meadows. It’s an archaeological site, first excavated in the 1960s, of a Norse settlement dating to approximately 1,000 years ago.
The road from Gros Morne north is in poor condition. We’ve seen worse in our travels this past year but this ranks in the top 10. And we get to drive it again on Friday!Read more
