Joshua Tree National Park

We left our condo at 7 am in order to drive 2 l/2 hours to Palm Springs because Alyssa was arriving at PSP today!! Despite our best efforts, her flight arrived l/2 hour early so she sat outside to wait for us in the warm sunshine and was able to thaw out.

On the agenda was a trip to the Northern section of the immense Joshua Tree National Park. This part of the park is in the higher, wetter and cooler Mojave Desert, a perfect environment for the joshua tree. Mormon pioneers thought the limbs resembled the upstretched arms of Joshua leading them to the promised land.Read more
