Finger Lakes Wine Country, NY

When researching our route home I discovered that NY state had a wine growing region with 60 wineries. This area is known especially for its riesling wine. The growers are mostly small family run vineyards with limited production. We stopped at 7 different wineries and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wines. The owners were friendly and informative and so were the other tourists. It was another wonderful day but now we have even more wine to declare at the border!
