Dinghy adventure to Truro

A quiet paddle up the creek at end of river Fal whilst waiting for the tide to turn. We needed enough water to get all the way up to Truro to pick up some petrol for our dinghy and generator.
Following a very narrow shallow flow of water 2 miles all the way after Malpas to Truro, we eventually ran out about 5m from the pontoon in centre of Truro. Out came the oars and we pushed ourselves in the last bit.
Well worth the trip with fuel, food and new shirts for Eric all purchased. Trip home very easy on the fully flooded river!
Lovely day ended with game of scrabble on Lady J with Neil and Sue before they head east in the morning to pick up friends in Plymouth.Read more
