    Mount Nebo - What Moses Saw

    Religious scholars have determined Mount Nebo is the place in Jordan from which Moses saw the Promised Land. The Book of Deuteronomy also says Moses died and was buried on Mt Nebo. A church/basilica was built there around 300 A.D. and these mosaics from that church were uncovered. The site has been home to many religious over the years. The stone monument commemorates the visit of Pope John Paul II.Read more
