Rio’s Christ the Redeemer

So we arrived in Rio, our last stop, a couple of days back.

On the first day here we went birding. We planned a big day staring at 5.30 and saw an amazing 128 species of which 65 were new. I might do a separate post on this when I process the photos.

Our hotel is right on Copacabana beach and they were not lying about the sea view, the beach is 4km long and we are in the middle.

Yesterday we visited the famous Christ the Redeemer. The views from the statue are amazing but the statue itself at 33m high is compelling too.Read more
