Jindabyne, NSW

The GPS (Google Maps) took us via a very mountainous route...it had been raining non-stop for a couple of weeks so parts of the road were washed away and the road narrowed to one-car width at some points - it was a white knuckle drive! Seeing the Snowy River from above was awesome though...
The following day we drove up to Thredbo an caught the ski lift up to the top of Thredbo, then hiked up to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko and then all the way back down again via Merritts Nature Track...22kms for the day and our legs were like jelly once we got back to the car! Then home-made wood-fire oven pizza for dinner 😋
The next day, the sun came out and we did a quick 7km walk along Lake Jindabyne then relaxed for the rest of the day before heading to Banjo Patersons Pub for a lovely dinner & some wine.
We had booked a week on the beach at Huskisson following this stop but decided to head for shelter (Dads house) as more heavy rain was predicted for the following week/s.Read more
