Nice little town with a tree avenue down the centre. Visit the Giant Red Gum - it's only 350m off the main drag and it was impressive.

Lovely little town. Lots of nice buildings and history to this town. It was a railway town. Worth investigating! Maybe even some Wiltshire relatives here!

Broken Hill

Back to Broken Hill for a stopover on the way home. We had visited here in September and did all the sightseeing things. If you would like to see what Broken Hill has to offer see my previous trip on Find Penguins "Outback NSW".
Went back to some fav spots - gin cocktails and dinner at the Palace Hotel followed by sunset up at the Mine. Lots to see and do here, esp for the arty minded!もっと詳しく

Found this little gem by accident.
It's a old gold mine town made famous for its pioneering photography and being the town in the background of the old Aussie $10 note. With dust storms and fires approaching we didn't spend much time here but would like to come back and explore this well preserved town with its quaint shops, cafes and museums.
My grandfather was stationed here as a police constable as a young man and he and my grandmother lived here and many nearby outback towns. My dad was born later on in the police residence at nearby Narromine.もっと詳しく
