North & South America 2015

Did the full day tour to Rangitoto island with Vinnie as our guide. My first ever hike up a mountain, but it was defiantly worth the magnificent views of the volcano crater and of Auckland. As we saw a storm front heading towards the city so we made our way back down the mountain for a camp lunch cooked by Vinnie. The steak was cooked to perfection and the salad choices were creative and tasted delish. As we were finishing up eating, the storm hit the city, and eventually us. So we waited it out under cover whilst we watched the intentional yachts also try and ride out the storm in the harbour! We eventually decided to brave the weather as it had just reduced to a slight drizzle and headed back to the mainland. Excellent day out, would recommend this tour if you are ever in Auckland (in the summer)
