Gritty, dusty, crusty, dry, windy, and cracked. The Altiplano of Atacama is a weird and interesting place. It sits at 2400m (8000 feet) and is surrounded by volcanos, some still active. The landscape is filled with strange rock and dirt formations that have maintained their odd shapes and stature solely due to the fact that this place only receives 15mm of rain per year. Plant life is non existent for the most part.Weiterlesen
