Day 261: Walk around Kashgar

Random walk around Kashgar today. We came across a large statue of Chairman Mao. Then, we visited the Pantuo City, the ruins of the castle where Ban Chao, a famous general of the Eastern Han Dynasty was stationed for 17 years. Banchao used the city as a base to fight against Xinu, support the Western Regions, restore the central government’s rule over the Western Regions, and reopen the Silk Road.

As a free of charge museum, it’s quite informative to learn a little about the Chinese History.Leia mais
