Day 263: Aksu Train Station

At around 11am, we arrived and got settled in the Aksu Train Station. The ticket office was all lined up and there were a lot of people at the station. The major rail line between Kashgar to Urumqi would be stopped running for the coming days. So people were all stuck and re-configure their plan. We checked that the 3pm train from Aksu to Kuqa was running but unfortunately all tickets were sold out except standing tickets. So, we would be standing on a 2-hour train. At this point, we had been on the road to Kuqa for almost 18 hours without a proper sleep. We just hoped that there would not be any more delays!Les mer
