Driving by, we had to stop at the Jolly Green Giant statue. Dedicated in 1979 as part tourist lure and part thank you to the Green Giant food company, which was a major job center for Blue Earth. They originally wanted a button that would make the giant boom his famous, "Ho, ho, ho." They ran out of funding for that. 😟

At Christmas, Santa presents the giant with a red scarf. Sweet.

The giant is 55 feet tall. If you look hard, you can see Casey and Quinn between his legs.Read more
