Day 10 - Art on the Lake Festival

    September 22, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

Today we were in Pleasant Hills, Iowa. The trip over was super rainy. On the way we stopped at the worlds largest truck stop which apparently has 900 spaces for trucks. Inside it’s like a giant gift shop with food court attached.

The festival itself wasn’t doing so hot when we got there. The rain was super minimal but enough to keep people out. The stage was covered but had a small opening near the back. During our set the water kept falling on me and everything else. The crew got up to move cables and in the middle of “I’m Ready” a huge pop sounded out and everything died. Gig is off.

After we went to Ames Iowa to a placed called Cornbred bbq to see Matt Woods. He sounded super awesome and his drummer Dwight was great. While there I got bbq turkey and pork and beans. I was supposed to get some cornbread pudding but they messed up and brought cucumber salad. The beans were awesome and their pickles and pickles onions were great. I also got a draft root beer.
