Field museum, walking and west loop

We had a lie in til 6am today so had another mammoth hotel breakfast then walked through Grant Park to the Field museum. We saw a Noah’s arc of taxidermy which really dicks all over the Booth museum (and the Natural History while we’re at it) We also went to see Sue, the most complete T-Rex skeleton which was pretty cool too. After that I was done so we decided to skip the other exhibits and walked back to downtown in the beautiful sunshine. The temperature had definitely gone up and I even had to take my coat off. Hello Spring! We then stopped for a drink at the bean and watched people posing for their photos before walking to the west loop which was about 30 minutes away. It was a cool neighbourhood with lots of regeneration going on. The plan was to have a few drinks at the Time Out food hall then have an early dinner at Au Chaval which had come highly recommended but a combination of a massive breakfast and the last few days of crap sleep and loads of walking really caught up with my pregnant self so we decided to call it quits and get a cab back to the hotel. I managed to stay awake long enough to find a nice restaurant online which happened to be two door down so we slipped off for dinner before passing out at 8pm 🥱 Czytaj więcej
