    Beer!

    December 1, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Woke up in a bed! Ate breakfast on Pippa’s balcony then wandered down into Coogee which is a gorgeous beach with loads of stuff to do. We then headed out to a beer festival in the centre of Sydney and met Cole and some of his friends. The sun was so hot and I was terrified that I had underestimated it by wearing factor 30. Anyway I’ve come away unscathed/burnt but have problems got no suncream left. After it had finished Pippa and I headed to Darling harbour to watch the fireworks which the put on every weekend in the run up to New Year’s Eve. We were going to go for another drink but realised we were battered to had Tim Tams instead. Wise moveRead more

  • Beach and beer

    December 2, 2018 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 32 °C

Went to the beach with Toby and Cole (and a cool box full of beer) It was ridiculously hot but thankfully really windy. I am not sure if I am a convert to sandy beaches as I have sand everywhere. We went back to the boys flat which is gorgeous via the liquor shop. For some reason they don’t serve alcohol in the supermarkets. Weird. Toby and Cole cooked some amazing food then we went to the Imperial which is their local and conveniently a massive gay bar that really puts Legends to shame. We drank an awful lot and did some expressive dancing. In the cold light of day I’m not entirely sure how it went down but at the time I thought the crowd loved meRead more

  • Help me!

    December 2, 2018 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 33 °C

Woke up feeling very very unwell and a bit of a jittery mess thanks to the multiple espresso martinis last night. We went for brunch to try and sort ourselves out but I made it half way through before abandoning as I thought I was going to throw up everywhere. Grim and absolutely gutted as the food was amazing (hot smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, pickled cucumber and dill mayo 😍) The plan was to do the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk but I felt mega wonky and had to go back to the flat for a lie down. Toby met us there and he and Pips went to the beach and I met them after about an hour of feeling sorry for myself. The sunshine and sea definitely helped as I rallied sufficiently to get myself to the pub/hotel (still weird) for some beers. Pippa and I then did the walk which was incredible and probably better doing it when it was cooler. We ended up in Bondi as the sun was setting and met Natalie for some foodRead more

  • City

    December 3, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Woke up without a hangover which was the absolute best feeling ever! Pippa and I headed into the city centre walking through the botanical garden to see the harbour which is huge and so exciting to see in real life. Unfortunately the weather was more English winter than Australian summer so my plans of wanky Instagram photos of the opera house were slightly dashed but it was still amazing. The sun did make enough of an appearance for us to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine in the opera bar. Then we got the ferry to Manly which was a blustery, hair ruining affair but so good to see the harbour from different angles. We didn’t spend too long in Manly as we were cold so headed back to the cityRead more

  • Hunter Valley

    December 4, 2018 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 21 °C

Up ridiculously early but for an exciting reason. We went wine tasting! We had a two hour drive out to Hunter valley where we got to try out loads of wine, cheese and vodka. If I’m honest it wasn’t the best out of the tastings I’ve done and the scenery wasn’t as pretty BUT I got to see kangaroos 🦘 so that was a total bonus. We ended up back in the city nowhere near as tipsy as I’d have liked and crashed out in front of Gavin and StaceyRead more
