    Koh Tao: Start, Breakfast @ Koppee

    Koppee pool lounge in Koh Tao is my favourite beachfront cafe & restaurant in the heart of Chalok Bay.
    Open daily - 9am to 9pm.

    I am very happy to be able to show this place to my loved ones. I spent a lot of time here during my stay in Koh Tao in the summer of 2023. I had already spent 6 weeks in Asia and I was very happy about the sensational (western) breakfast here.

    And it's still super nice and super good.
    My tip: sit in the beanbags on the beach front and enjoy the view of the sea.    Lue lisää

    Koh Tao: Sweet Home

    Chuni has to complete an important item on his bucket list today!
    I've already ticked this off and decide to enjoy the pool today.

    Noa struggles with the heat and stays in the room most of the time. Joy has an incredibly bad stomach ache and also stays by the pool.
    Ricca decides to stay with Joy and also in the house.

    Ricca is happy about everything: the nature, the sounds, the wildlife. The mood is good despite Joy's pain. Quiet music, endless sunshine, what more could you want? DRINKS!!!

    By scooter to 7/11 and a bottle of gin and a bottle of Baccardi.... And then to the fruit stand. We buy fresh mangoes, papaya, sweet limes, passion fruit and shortly afterwards fill the blender and shaker with ice: delicious!!!    Lue lisää

    The next ones are on their way

    We are delighted! The last Swiss members of our birthday travel group are now on their way! Especially worth mentioning: Juna is the youngest of our group at 2 years old.

    They fly directly from Zurich to Kho Samui and will spend one night there. Like us, they will then take the ferry to Kho Phangan, where we will all spend a few days together.

    We have rented a beautiful villa which will be our home for the next few days, even though not everyone is staying in the villa.
    With the scooters we are mobile. And so we have rented additional bungalows in which up to 3 people can stay.

    Noa, Joy and Ricca will share one and Levi has his own. Roger will join them later and will also find a place to stay.    Lue lisää

    Bern: Greetings from home

    I am Bubu. Norwegian Forest Cat and Maincoon mix. Lani found me in the Harz Mountains. In a pigsty, scared and smelly... Not even eight weeks old. We've been living together for years now. Me and Lani. We also travel together from time to time. When we go to Valais or to Chuni.
    Sometimes Lani travels alone, but is always overjoyed when she can be with me again. This year Lani overdid it. Lani was on the road for 4 months!!!!

    For a while now I've been the only cat and the cat of the household. I need lots of cuddles and like to cuddle like a soft toy.

    I also learn very quickly. I'm really smart. Lani has taught me some great tricks. I win every heart with them.
    By the way, Lani's replacement is really good. I'm the king of the household and I couldn't be better! So wave, wave and see you soon.    Lue lisää

    Koh Nang Yuan

    Chuni's bucket list is one point poorer! You can find the proof of this under the pictures. He not only has himself but also Levi, Liso and Kuno the perfect Instagram picture 🤪.

    Ko Nang YuanKo Nang Yuan is located in KoPhaNgan District of SuratThani Province. It consists of three islets linked together by sand beaches. The island is a great diving site for coral reefs viewing.

    Koh Nang Yuan is an island of white fine sand and crystal clear water that mostly suits tranquility lovers. Besides, shallow-water and deep-water coral reefs, which are beautiful and still intact, attract a regular visit by divers.

    Moreover, a scenic viewpoint allows visitors to overlook a splendid line of three beaches where the islands are connected and beautiful sunrise and sunset.    Lue lisää

    🤬 in secret mission

    Today we check out of our little jungle house around midday. The cab arrives on time, but there's no way we can fit our luggage and tour group in... So we have to get a second one.
    It's lunchtime and hot. Some are dying of heat, others are hungry, some want to explore the town and someone has to keep an eye on the mountains of luggage.
    Chuni and I split up first. Chuni organizes the tickets and I take the overheated part of the group to a totally aircon chilled cafe.
    As soon as everyone is taken care of, I set off.
    We're in Thailand and at least here I've been shopping for days for things I'll need shortly. Nothing from the supermarket and nothing all in one store.

    There's a store in Peer that I like and it sells exactly what I need, among other things. I know the owner from my last visit. I get what I'm looking for.

    Then onto the ferry, but it takes a while. My bag should stay cool. When do candles start to melt? My bag is torn. As soon as I stepped onto the jetty. Everything was lying all over the place. In my bag I'm carrying an achievement and two bottles of alcohol. One is missing its lid. Baccardi spills onto the artificial turf. Oh well.
    As I board the ferry, the bag tips off my suitcase again. Before I can react, the steward throws my stuff overboard. I mean the stuff I went to the store for.
    Just for a moment, I might as well throw the guy overboard.

    And then I have the wind in my hair, I'm out at sea, enjoying the sun, the waves and the hum of the engine. And I'm looking forward to the next few days on Koh Phagan    Lue lisää

    Let‘s talk about Kamasutra-Massage

    We all enjoy the world-famous massages of Thailand every day. At some point during the day there is always someone in the massage!

    You can be kneaded for an hour for a reasonable price.

    And the massages go deep. I have no idea how these fingers find points that I didn't even know existed.
    So no false illusions! It can hurt, but after 1 hour you feel like new.
    Here in Koh Phangan I found a place called sm Zen Beach, which offers the best massages so far... to the sound of the sea and soft music, what could be better?

    I don't know what got into us. Chuni and I read about tantra massages somewhere on the scooter and thought, let's do that!!!

    Zen Beach Koh Phangan is one of the most popular beaches on the west coast. This is due to its proximity to Sri Thanu, which is home to a number of yoga studios, schools, and wellness retreats. There are no water sports available at this beach due to the lush flora and coral reef. Young families, couples, travellers, artists, musicians, and yogis are among those who visit.

    Zen Beach on Koh Phangan has one of the most beautiful sunsets on the island. It’s the ideal seaside resort for people seeking a one-of-a-kind moving experience. Finally, this will undoubtedly be a fantastic Instagram or Facebook post.

    Local yogis gave it the name Zen Beach, however it is actually part of Sri Thanu Beach. Given its location on the west coast, Zen Beach is the best place to see the sunset. Arrive at 5:30 p.m. to hear the rhythmic beats of drums, guitars, and djembe, as well as groups of individuals meditating or doing yoga.     Muay Thai Live

    „Muay” translates to mean “boxing” in Thai, so Muay Thai is literally Thai boxing. Taking elements from Muay Boran, the traditional Thai martial arts, Muay Thai as a modern combat sport was first formalized in the early 20th century.

    Chuni, Levi, Mäse and I buy VIP tickets for a provincial kpf in Koh Phangan.
