Rocinha favela, Rio de Janeiro

Today we hopped into an open top jeep to head to the biggest favela in Rio for a walking tour. This place has a bigger population that Dunedin (about 150,000) and would barely cover a quarter of the city in size. The locals here were super welcoming but we were very pleased to have a guide as it would be so easy to get lost in the maze of streets and alley ways here.
