    Heute gibt es noch nicht viel zu erzählen, der, Anhänger muss noch geholt werden und 2 Fahrzeuge werden verladen. Der restliche Kram wird ins Auto gepackt und los geht's morgen ziemlich früh.

    Day 2

    Anreise / Travel

    Heute morgen um 5 Uhr ging es los und wie immer Stau auf der Autobahn A3. Nach etwa 10,5 Stunden hatten wir unser Ziel erreicht. Ein schönes Hotel mit Blick auf den Traunsee. Abladen, Parken und einchecken im Hotel stand auf dem Plan. Für uns war ein kleines Apartment reserviert mit viel Platz, nicht schlecht. Danach ging es mit den Spydern zum Festgelände, etwa 3 Minuten entfernt. Eingecheckt haben 380 Personen und 285 Spyder und Ryker aus 20 verschiedenen Ländern. Klasse Stimmung hier und wir haben so einige lustige Gespräche geführt. Ab 19 Uhr 30 gab es gegrilltes mit anschließender Begrüßung und das Briefing für die nächsten Tage. Morgen steht der Besuch im Rotax Motorenwerk auf dem Programm und anschließend noch ein paar Kilometer Spyder-Fahren zur Auswahl.

    This morning at 5 o'clock we started and as always traffic jam on the highway A3. After about 10.5 hours we had reached our destination. A beautiful hotel with a view of the Traunsee. Unloading, parking and check-in at the hotel was on the plan. A small apartment was reserved for us with plenty of space, not bad. Then we took the spyders to the festival site, about 3 minutes away. Checked in 380 people and 285 spyders and rykers from 20 different countries. Great atmosphere here and we had some fun conversations. From 19:30 we had a barbecue followed by a welcome and the briefing for the next days. Tomorrow is the visit to the Rotax engine plant on the program and then a few kilometers of Spyder driving to choose from.    Read more

    Day 3

    Rotax/Rotax Max Dom/Donauschlinge

    Heute morgen um 6 Uhr ging der Wecker und Abfahrt zum Rotaxwerk war um 7:30 Uhr. Vom Werksgelände und der Besichtigung gibt es verständlicherweise keine Bilder...alles streng geheim. Nach einer kleinen Stärkung ging es auf Achse zur Rotax Kartbahn nach Linz, ein absolutes Highlight!! Die hauseigenen Elektrokarts werden auf das Fahergewicht kalibriert und somit gibt es keine Leistungsdefizite bei Übergewicht,...also hab selbst ich eine reale Chance gegen ein Fliegengewicht anzutreten. Ist mir auch ganz gut gelungen, allerdings hätte ich nie gedacht wielange 10 Minuten sein können. Völlig fertig und schweißgebadet bin ich nach dem Rennen aus dem Kart gekrochen. Hammer, sag da nur...Anschließend sind wir auf allerkleinsten Sträßchen noch zur Donauschlinge in Haibach gecruised. Auf der Terrasse gab es ein fettes Eis 🍨. Nach weiteren 80 km im Festzelt angekommen gab reichlich Futter für alle Teilnehmer. Das Bett ruft, morgen sind wir um 7 Uhr zum Frühstück verabredet...schließlich wartet der Großglockner auf uns. Etwa 400 km stehen für morgen auf der Liste....gute Nacht.

    This morning at 6 o'clock went the alarm clock and departure to the Rotax factory was at 7:30. Understandably, there are no pictures of the factory premises and the tour...everything is top secret. After a little refreshment we went on the road to the Rotax kart track in Linz, an absolute highlight!!! The in-house electric karts are calibrated to the driver's weight and therefore there are no performance deficits with overweight,...so even I have a real chance to compete against a flyweight. I succeeded quite well, but I never thought how long 10 minutes can be. Completely exhausted and drenched in sweat I crawled out of the kart after the race. Hammer, say there only...Subsequently, we are on very small roads to the Donauschlinge in Haibach cruised. On the terrasse there was a fat ice 🍨 waiting for us. After another 80 km arrived in the Event tent was plenty of food for all participants. Tomorrow we are at 7 o'clock for breakfast...finally, the Großglockner is waiting for us. About 400 km are on the list for tomorrow....good night.    Read more

    Day 4

    Großglockner Hochalpenstraße

    Heute morgen nach dem Frühstück ging es über sehr schöne Strecken ca.200km in Richtung Großglockner. Da wir uns etwas beeilen mussten das Gipfelfoto nicht zu verpassen, gibt es nicht viele Bilder....dann oben auf der Franz Josef Höhe kamen fast 300 Spyder und Ryker zusammen. Einen Parkplatz zu finden war schon ein wenig schwierig. Von dort kann man den Gletscher sehen und wer mag auch nach unten gehen. Die Tour zurück hatte ich zeitlich wohl etwas falsch eingeschätzt,
    ... am Ende sind wir 511 km gefahren heute und ordentlich naß waren wir auch. Hagelsturm mit heftigem Gewitter zwangen uns zu einer kurzen Pause.

    This morning after breakfast it went over very nice routes ca.200km in the direction of Großglockner. Since we had to hurry a bit not to miss the summit photo, there are not many pictures....then on top of the Franz Josef height came together almost 300 Spyder and Ryker.     Rückreise / Travel back home

    Leider geht ein sehr schönes Event zu Ende und es herrscht allgemeine Aufbruchstimmung. 7 Uhr Frühstück und Aufladen...eigentlich läd das Wetter zum Bleiben ein. 15:45 Uhr und nur noch 257 km zu fahren. Läuft....
