    Great Barrier Reef

    November 3, 2016 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

The trip to the Great Barrier Reef was hilarious. We departed at 9am to the Outer Reef which is located 30km from the Harbour. The guides parted us in 9 small groups for the dives and before and after your turn you could go into the water for snorkeling. Snorkeling was really relaxed and you was able to snorkel directly above the corals cause some of them was just about 1-2 m under the surface. There was so much fishes and activity under water and with the still colourful corals and was an ungorgettable view. The water was clear like glass and you was able to see far easily around 50 meters. My first dive was a change of feelings. At the beginning i had a bulk of pressure on my ears and i was close to quit the dive cause it was pretty hard. But after sole minutes the pressure left more and more and i could enjoy the dive. And from that point it was so much fun and a great experience with the tank on your back and all the stuff you got with you under water. Cause we visited two locations i booked an additional second dive for the other location for 60$ more what was really worth it. We spend about 35 min under water and the second dive was much more effective dive time cause we needed not many introductions before we started. We dived down to 12,5 meters and have been a group of 6 people. We got a nice lunch and i had a really good time there with Mareike and Jannika.Read more
