Today I got up very late and booked to go Kayaking. I got the CityCat to South Bank and walked up to Riverlife. I bought a hat and a waterproof pouch when I arrived. After watching a safety video, I got into the kayak and paddled. I went kayaking until five and went up to Story Bridge. After heading back, I walked along Kangaroo Point and went stargazing on the bank. After stargazing, I returned to South Bank, had a pizza and ice cream, and then returned home.Baca lagi

Today I woke up and got an Uber up to Bulimba. I met up with Neal and Camilla and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. After that, Neal walked me back to the river, and I walked along the bank. I got the CityCat to New Farm Park and had an iced coffee by the river. I went to Mowbray and then down to Riverside. I walked under the Story Bridge and had lunch at Felons. After walking back through the CBD, I popped into Apple to have someone look at my phone and then walked back through the Queen Street Mall. I popped into a phone shop to try and set up a phone number, but I needed my passport to set it up. I got the CityCat back, grabbed my passport, and then returned to the phone shop to set up my Australian phone number. I then walked back and relaxed for the evening on my balcony.Baca lagi

Today I got up and got ready to go out. Yasmin came over and gave me a beautiful present. We then got the CityCat up the river to Riverside and had brunch and ice cream. After we got an Uber back to mine, Yasmin headed off to Gold Coast. Then I went up to Kangaroo Point, went abseiling down the cliff, and had a drink. I walked back along South Bank, went to the Max Brenner Chocolate shop, and got a Rocky Road Sundae! I then walked back along the river, enjoying the views and relaxed when I got in.Baca lagi

Today I got up and walked to The Wesley Hospital to sort out my scheduled surgeries for the week. After lunch, I booked a car for the rest of the week and got the train to Northgate. While walking to the car hire place, I met a cute dog that wanted to play fetch! I picked up an MG3, drove over the Houghton Highway Bridge at sunset to the Redcliffe Jetty, and enjoyed some dinner. I then drove back into Brisbane City along the Riverside Expressway and went home.Baca lagi

Currumbin Coasts

Today I got up and walked to The Wesley Hospital to get my paperwork signed and get a parking permit. I then went home, packed a bag and drove down to Currumbin. On the way, I stopped at Zarraffa's for an iced coffee. When I arrived, I went along the beach and looked at the rock pools. I was also next to the airport, so I watched the planes fly in and land. I then stopped at the Currumbin Beach Club for a snack. After that, I drove to Yasmin’s new house, and we went into Surfers Paradise. We walked along the beach and went to a restaurant to get some food, and they were playing some awesome music! After going bowling, we went shopping, and I got a boomerang. I then dropped Yasmin back, drove back to Brisbane, and went to bed late!Baca lagi

Today I woke up and walked to The Wesley Hospital for a breast and endocrine list. After the first case, the consultant bought us coffee, and then we did the second and final case of the list. After that, I grabbed some lunch in the surgeons' lounge, drove over to St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital, and parked at the medical school parking at Lady Bowman House. I then walked over to the hospital for a maxfax list. After the list, I walked to the Queen Street Mall, got some bubble tea, drove home, and relaxed.Baca lagi

Today I got up, worked on my poster for my elective, and walked to The Wesley Hospital for my final tutorial with Dr O'Rourke. After lunch, I finished my poster and drove down to Gold Coast. When I arrived, I parked up and walked along the beach. I bought a new racing jacket and met a girl called Bryony. I then met up with Yasmin, and we grabbed a bite to eat at Wahlburgers. Yasmin got fried gherkins deliberately to wind me up! We then went for a walk along the beach. When it got late, I went to take some lovely photos and drove back to Brisbane.Baca lagi

The Final List

Today I got up and walked to The Wesley Hospital for my final operating list in Australia (for the time being). I met Dr O'Rourke and Dr McKevitt at the theatre for an upper GI list. I was able to scrub for the final case of the list. Dr O'Rourke then signed off my supervision paperwork. After this, I went to grab some lunch from the surgeons' lounge. After lunch, I went to get a hospital stamp on my letter and then went home to run some errands. Next, I went back to the hospital, dropped off cards and presents for everyone at the medical school, and went back upstairs to collect my form. The chief medical officer signed the bottom of my form and asked me to tell the university to contact them should they have any further questions. I then returned home and packed all my belongings. I checked out of my apartment in Brisbane and drove up the coast to Noosa to stay at Nick's.Baca lagi

Today I got up in Noosa and relaxed at the house. It is beautiful! I cannot believe how stunning it is! I relaxed on the terrace at the back and got some work done. I then went into the village, grabbed some food shopping and enjoyed lunch. I drove up Laguna Drive to look at the view and then went down to the waterfront and Hastings Street and walked along the high street. I then came back, had dinner and relaxed.Baca lagi

Today I got up and went out for breakfast with Maddy. We got some lovely bacon and egg buns, went to the beach and enjoyed swimming and sunbathing. Later, I went home and spent the afternoon sunbathing on the jetty. In the evening, I went up to Tea Tree Bay and walked along the coastal path until sunset. Next, I walked along Hastings Street and got some ice cream. After heading back, I cooked some pasta and then relaxed at home.Baca lagi

Kin Kin Cruising

Today I got up and drove towards the national parks. I got a coffee and headed towards Kin Kin. After arriving, I stopped for some lunch and had a lovely sandwich and smoothie! I then drove back towards Gold Coast and stopped and took some photos on the way there. I also visited the Noosa Botanical Gardens. On my journey back, I found a viewpoint and drove up to the top of a mountain and saw some breathtaking views. After quickly grabbing some snacks, I drove back and watched the sunset from the top of the mountain. On the way back, I grabbed some food shopping, walked through Noosa Junction, and went home.Baca lagi

Cool Pizza

This morning I got up and relaxed on the dock. Yasmin drove an obscene distance up to Noosa, and we went out for lunch. We had some delicious pizzas and walked down the beach for ice cream. Whilst going along the coast, my sunglasses unfortunately broke, so we went into a sunglasses shop to try and get them fixed. The lady managed to find a spare screw, trim it, and fix my sunglasses! We then headed back to the house, and Yasmin left. I had a quick power nap and then drove down to Coolum Beach for ice cream and to explore. After that, I headed back home and went to bed!Baca lagi

Glass House Gazing

Today I got up and drove to Hastings Street for some breakfast. When I got home, I took the kayak out and went around the close on a kayak! It was beautiful! I got a message from Tommy, got in the car, and drove to the Glass House Mountains to meet up with him. I stopped at the visitor centre and grabbed a map and sticker too. We then hiked up Mount Ngungun. After that, I dropped Tommy at the station and drove back to Noosa. When I returned home, I went out for food and enjoyed some ice cream. Noosa Heads Hikes

Today I got up early and started cleaning the house ready for when I leave. I then had lunch and walked into town to go shopping. I popped into the visitor centre and bought a Noosa towel and water bottle. I then went to Noosa Heads Surf Club for a drink and walked up to Noosa National Park. After that, I went to the shops and bought more cleaning supplies. I then finished the windows and continued cleaning until I went to bed.Baca lagi

South Bank Stories

Today I got up and packed the car. Once loaded, I drove down to Brisbane and returned the car. Next, I got an Uber down to my new accommodation at Story Bridge. I then unpacked and got some lunch. Once Yasmin was free, we walked along Story Bridge to South Bank. We went to a Turkish restaurant and had a lovely dinner. After Yasmin sneakily paid the bill while I was in the bathroom, we went to Max Brenner for dessert. Whilst walking back, we popped into a souvenir shop, and I got some cool final souvenirs. We relaxed when we returned to the hotel, and then I walked Yasmin back to her car. She dropped me back at the hotel and went home.Baca lagi

Bye Bye Brisbane!

On my final day in Brisbane, I went to the University of Queensland building at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital for a surgical simulation day. After the introduction talk, we did some intramedullary nail insertion and femur plating. The next workshop was craniofacial plating. After that, we were able to do some laparoscopic surgery and finally did some skin flaps! I then walked down into Fortitude Valley, bought a keyring from the music shop and went to the Queen Street Mall for lunch. Finally, I returned to the hotel to grab my bags and headed to the airport, walking through Anzac Square. Once there, my bags were too heavy. I had to redistribute the weight across my bags and repack them. Once that was sorted, I went through security and went duty-free shopping! At 9 PM, I got on the plane (an A380!), and we took off!Baca lagi

I had a nap on the flight to Dubai. We landed at 5:10 AM local time and got off the flight. I went through security again and went to the departure lounge! After some shopping, I got on the plane, and we took off from Dubai. On the second plane from Dubai, I watched Brooklyn 99 and Sherlock as we flew over Europe!Baca lagi
