Warrumbungle NP part 2

Am so sad to leave this magical place. It’s certainly the most ‘off grid’ site and apart from an electric hook-up for Matty, at night the rest of the camp is totally unlit.

If you step out, there are dim glows coming from the shelters of fellow campers, and the occasional torch, seemingly moving down inky black pathways, on their own.

No laundry facilities either, so a longer stay would be a challenge for those with limited undergarments!

However, the green space, peacefulness (birdie tweeting, squawking and chatter aside) and the delightful ‘roos made it my fave place to stay on the whole trip.

Today, on my way to the shower block, I met a mum ‘roo and her joey having their brekkie ❤️

So after a re-revisit to the observatory, we sadly have to leave The Warrumbungles, get back on the road, and back to civilisation (and a laundry facility 😂)Weiterlesen
