Billabong

Interesting trip up from Geraldton. We all decided to go without the wets - just before Northampton it bucketed down and we stopped at a small ‘roadhouse’ to get out of the rain and reconsider. The old guy serving said they had ‘sh*t loads’ of rain over the last 3 days (~100mm). The rain eased off so we continued in the same gear which dried off under cloudy skies up to Billabong. Northampton has some lovely old buildings and looks a nice place to stay. The Billabong Homestead Hotel had a stubby holder so Allan bought one for the collection- have to get them while you can.Read more
