Carnarvon

Arrived in Carnarvon after 4pm and quickly found the Outback Oasis Park and set up tents before it got dark. Cooked up a chicken stir fry for dinner as the camp kitchen is well resourced here. Added another animal warning sign to the list - water birds- pretty strange given it has been really dry up here for ages. The only significant water we saw was in the Murchison river, the others are just sand. It is such a large country- today it really was straight road heading to the horizon with few corners. At the top of each rise you just see more road stretching on before you. We can probably say that we are a third of the way round in a distance sense as we have now covered 5300km.
