Tory Island

Caught ferry to Tory Island at 11. Not a big ferry! Luckily the seas were smooth for the hour trip. We went to Tory Island because Jacko's grandmother was a Doohan and this is where they originated from. Unable to trace back past 3 generations (common for all families). We walked out to the lighthouse. Finally one of the 2 pubs opened at 2 and we had pizza for lunch. The manager was a Doohan so we had a good chat. It bucketed down while we were in there, but when it was time to leave the sun was out again. We had a great time over there. While there we were 15200km from home. Back on mainland for tea, and then an earlyish night.Weiterlesen
