Metro ride

Here we go! The first metros in St. Petersburg will built in the 50’s. They say it is a Palace for the people. The one we went was much newer. The Admiralteyskaya goes down 86 meters below ground. The subway travels under the river Moya.

We are travelling in a group of 12 of which 9 have never been on a subway before. Dianne sits with a group of Canadians in our subway car. They all look pretty happy to be riding. See if you can pick out the local from the picture.Læs mere
