Our hotel, Riad Salem Fes, is close to the Blue gate of the medina. Riad refers to the style of home, where the doors, windows and balconies face the courtyard. There is no view except of the courtyard. This is now a hotel. All of the buildings in the ancient medina are riad style. There is some indication of the prosperity of the riad from the door.
