Crossing the equator

We have crossed the equator and are in the southern hemisphere. To mark this occasion the ship staff have concocted some hazing of those who go for that kind of thing. First you are cornobbled (slapped with a fish) and then doused with cold water. It is very similar to being Screeched in Newfoundland except in Newfoundland you only have to kiss the fish and drink the Screech. In most instances here, folks were just kissing the fish and forgoing the beating. Anyhow, you get a certificate to commemorate the event.Read more
