We had about a 3 hour bus trip back. We had many sightings of wallabies but they wouldn’t sit still for a photo! On the way we stopped again to see the crocs Brutus & Freddie.

We are in Alice Springs! A change from very hot, humid climate to just very, very hot one!

This is a very quiet place of 25,000. Our first impressions are pretty dry although there are trees not many flowers to be found. It seems very laid back.

Telegraph Station

One air conditioned and suitably darkened building housed the night critters. As you can see, you get an exotic collection of strange creatures. Nothing here strikes us as cuddly.

In the pictures, we look cooler than it really is. The green grass is the result of a good sprinkler system. It is dry and dusty in most areas of Alice.
Predatory Birds

A show in the amphitheater was a display with predatory birds! The birds flew in and around us.

The Red Center

Now that we are here, we get to see Uluru up close. It involves a fair bit of hiking, but at a slow pace. Uluru was handed back to the traditional owners in 1985 with a land title. The traditional Czytaj więcej

Our morning began at 430am. After a-quick coffee we caught the bus to Kata Tjuṯa (the Olga’s). Here we enjoyed our second coffee and cookies and waited for sunrise. It is a spectacular day and Czytaj więcej
