The magical mystery day

Or as Brad referred to it, our metaphysical day 😅

We started off with a yoga class. Enjoyable, just what I needed with a stiff back lately. The instructor at the local community centre is really good. Her voice is really pleasant, low and sort of musical, so it's a bit of a moving meditation. You just have to give yourself over to it and go along.

Later, inspired by our afternoon tea experience, I decided to make scones and pseudo clotted cream, to bring to Cory and Nick's.

We're meeting later for tea at their place before heading to the show Mesmerica at the plantarium.

The scones turned out excellent, and we had them with rhubarb geranium jam Nicole had brought me from Paris. It was unbelievable, and I have another stop to try and fit in our quick visit there next year, La Chambre aux Confitures.

The show was mesmerizing, for sure. A choreographed light and music show which really almost surrounds you in the domed theatre of the planetarium. It's described as a visual journey, accompanied by an overall positive and uplifting message. Cory and I both experienced feeling like we'd kind of sunk into it and lost track of time. It's designed to be stress relieving, and it's successful at that.

We followed that up with a busy home day, housework, projects. I feel like I've been off work for a very long time, with a week yet to go. I found myself worrying that I've forgotten to go back to work on time 😅Leer más
