Today we all took a bus trip to Omaha Beach, the Musee De Normandie in Caen and the American cemetery where over 9000 WW II US soldiers’ graves (and one from WW I) are located. Baquette sandwiches and fruit were on the bus for us and it was a perfect day to enjoy them together. Communication has been a real problem for the last couple of days, with international roaming cell service being down. We haven’t been able to make calls, send texts or use data while away from the hotel. That’s why I took a pic of the communication equipment used in WW II used in the Bunker, which looked very antiquated, but appears to have worked better than cell phones.
