    Denali - Day 2

    Whew! Tried some backcountry hiking. The shuttle driver kind of hyped it up, and I abandoned my plans and disembarked at the East Fork stop. First, there were 5, FIVE, crossings of the river to get to the land slide and new bridge work area. I did not have hiking sandals on...

    But it was amazing. It was fun. And I made friends with a caribou. Seriously, I was keeping my proper distance, and it decided to turn and walk right by me. Then, I tried to leave the area, and it kept walking in parallel with me. Freaking incredible!

    There are lots of other fun pics from that adventure. Then, I headed to the Mt. Healy Overlook. There are some pics from that, too.
