Denali - Day 3

I tried to 'take it easy' and failed. I got a late start because we had to run the generator to charge things. They restrict the time to 8am-10am.

Today was the cabin walk (short, flat, 1 mi) and Savage Alpine trail (steep, "difficult" rating, and just under 5 mi). The worst decent I have ever done. Rock steps, rock steps, more rock steps.

The positive? The weather looked threatening, but rain never happened, and it was basically gorgeous by the end. Also, BABY ptarmigan!Read more
