Southern Gate, Siem Reap, Cambodia

One of the main gates used around the area so we passed through a few times - so magnificent each time. The massive gate is imposing, although I found it amusing that cars, tuk tuks, scooters etc still use this gate - as its not actually that wide so sometimes you need to wait your turn to go through.

The carvings in front display 'The Churning of the Ocean of Milk', which we found in other areas too, but this was very well preserved.Read more
