Newark, Nottinghamshire, England

We visited Newark a couple of times, but quickly saw the issues my parents had been complaining about. Still a cute town to wander around, but somehow the charm seems to have been lost. I enjoyed looking around the charity shops for a pair of jeans, and the market had a nice veg stall and Indian street food snacks that we enjoyed too. The church is possibly the prettiest part, with some cute squirrels as well.

My parents house is a drive away from Newark in a surrounding village, so we did struggle on the bus with bad traffic (especially Fridays!).Read more
