Downtown Anlong Vegn, with a beer and nuts by a well lit roundabout! Then back to the hotel, to catch the bus as I don't think the guest house can cater for all of us!

Well, the main brands, Angkor and Cambodia, are ok if you're very thirsty but a bit bland, and I tried Hanuman which has more flavour. But as we got out of Seam Reap I saw loads of signs advertising this one, which is made in Cambodia but with a German Brewmaster, and it's ok but quite samey in the vein of many Asian lagers. As I type, I'm drinking a Changi which is refreshing but not a huge amount of flavour. But when we all go out soon, I'll have another one anyway as we're not cycling tmw!!

ПутешественникWell done for completing the 50k in such conditions. I’d imagine the SPF50 could easily come off in a sweat, humidity & dust mixture. Today will be tough. You’re wise so will know when it’s the right time to hop on the support bus
ПутешественникToday would've been tough if we'd got to 60 or 70km, but for reasons I've tried to outline on today's post it was called off at 52km. I don't think the sweat has been getting rid of the SOF50, but the lotion + dust + heat has given me a heat rash above my knees, although that seems to go down overnight and it's less a problem today.

Not much new until the health bit, and the briefing about extreme heat stress and how temperature, humidity, exertion and alcohol are a toxic combo - this was a tad unnerving!

ПутешественникI knew they'd be quality but didn't expect a Trek. Superb tyres, quite wide and a bit knobbly, not MTB style of course but good for dirty tracks as well as road.

Brief walk to night market after dinner and then to a cool roof top bar, 7 of us. Town oddly quiet, but I've no idea why this is, seeing it ought to be tourist season.

ПутешественникIt's a funny thing with phone cameras that make the prop blades visible and apparently rotating more slowly. I think it's something to do with the 'frame rate' of the camera.
