Day 2

What a journey I am exhausted!

The flight to Kuala Lumpur felt very long, being a similar length as the flight to Japan it does feel like I spend a lot of time on planes! The flight went smoothly apart from the fact that we took off from Heathrow late and with a very tight connection in Kuala Lumpur the worry that I would miss it began to get stronger. In order to make up for this, Malaysia airlines gave us all free wifi which I think is extraordinary but very helpful as I could chat to my parents about next steps if I missed my flight!

Arriving in Kuala Lumpur not much later than originally planned I tore through the airport which had chosen the gate to be the furthest away and this nearly gave me a bloody heart attack, but eventually I arrived with time to spare and thankfully once arriving in Bangkok I discovered that my bag made it to!

I was slightly surprised when at immigration I had to give my finger prints, I think of this as a very USA thing and it feels very big brother like! Managing to work out how to get to my hotel I took the express bus into Bangkok as the airport sits some 30kms from Bangkok centre. After arriving at the hotel I was allowed to check in really early which was a god send and allowed me to just crash for the rest of the day!

It does feel very strange arriving on my own in the peace and quiet but knowing me by the end of tomorrow when I meet the rest of the group there will never be a quiet moment moving forward!Okumaya devam et
