    Nice start but a very hot 100 this afternoon.
    Coeur d'Alene is an Indian Reservation. The trail runs through northern Idaho and park like with many lakes and valleys. Silver mining during the 1800's left much of the mining tailings exposed resulting in environmental issues and hard metals in the water systems. The paved trail helped to clean a portion of the area. There were 4 firefighting planes working local wild fires. The planes came by every 30 minutes. There is some ash on our campsite.Read more
