Meetings and Farewells

Today was one of these rare and special days, where you have great interactions that put a smile on your face. It started slowly, I slept a bit longer and had to walk the emergency stairs down (and afterwards up again) from the 11th Floor. The two elevators were so overused that waiting for my ride to come would have cost too much time. Time I did not have if I wanted to catch my breakfast in time. Afterwards I grabbed the first Bus to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and enjoyed the breathtaking temple grounds near the sea. The last temple I visit in beautiful Korea. Next, I decided to visit the Busan X the Sky Observatory on level 100 of the Haeundae LCT the Sharp building which is the second highest in the country. It offered some excellent views and a Starbucks, where I grabbed a coffee just to brag that I had one in the highest Starbucks in the world. (I suppose in a building, because there is probably a starbucks in the himalayas) The coffee obviously could not compare to my Good Ol' Days Café Latte, I will definitely grab a final one there tomorrow before I fly to Taipei. When I left the building, I was strolling along the beach towards Marine City where I was asked to take a picture by someone near the Haeundae Sign, I helped out, got one taken from me in return, and immediately after was asked by someone else if I would take a photo for him. That man, I only learned his surname, shoutout to the very kind and super generous Mr. Park, after some bit of small talk invited me into a nearby restaurant where I had some excellent cold noodles and a bit later we had a drink and snack in Josun near the Sea. I had a lot of fun and it was a totally unexpected experience, I really hope he can enjoy the rest of his little vacation from having to look after his grandchildren ❤️. After we said our goodbyes I had even more unexpected encounters in the bus back to my hotel, a French girl I had a very nice chat with and a Korean girl that was very happy that I was able to change her 10K KRW bill. She also exited near my hotel and gave me a smile and another thanks, I would call encounters like that, the mysterious serendipitys of life.

Dieser Mann, dessen Nachnamen ich nur erfuhr, lud mich nach etwas Smalltalk in ein nahegelegenes Restaurant ein, wo ich ein paar ausgezeichnete kalte Nudeln aß, und wenig später tranken wir etwas und aßen einen Snack in Josun am Meer. Ich hatte viel Spaß und es war eine völlig unerwartete Erfahrung. Ich hoffe wirklich, dass er den Rest seines kleinen Urlaubs genießen kann, ohne sich um seine Enkelkinder kümmern zu müssen ❤️. Nachdem wir uns verabschiedet hatten, hatte ich im Bus zurück zu meinem Hotel noch weitere unerwartete Begegnungen, eine Französin, mit der ich mich sehr nett unterhielt, und eine Koreanerin, die sehr froh war, dass ich ihre 10.000-KRW-Rechnung wechseln konnte. Sie stieg auch in der Nähe meines Hotels aus und schenkte mir ein Lächeln und einen weiteren Dank, ich würde solche Begegnungen als die geheimnisvollen Zufälle des Lebens bezeichnen.Read more
