Nikko Temples and Shrines #1

The next three Footprints are from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the grand Nikko Temples and Shrines. The most famous include the Toshogu Grand Shrine with the Tomb of Tokugawa Ieyasu, Nikkozan Rin-no-ji Temple and Nikko Futarasan Shrine (the one I visited at Lake Chuzenji is actually a part of it) Taiyu-In Temple, the resting place of Ieyasu's grandson Iemitsu and the Five Story Pagoda are also very famous and beautiful. Sadly taking pictures or filming is not allowed in the sacred halls, so I can only present you pictures from the outside. The temples were all very beautiful inside.
