Today, I returned to Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine, this time by daylight to make the ascent to the top of Mount Inari. A sacred mountain, a sanctified forest, a labyrinth guarded by uncountable foxes. A unique and amazing place full of tradition and beauty. Thousands of Torii everywhere, from very large to very small, I enjoyed my stroll in the forest, passing hundreds of shrines, houses and little restaurants offering matcha and mochi along the way.
