Miyajima: Deerpocalypse & Exit

On my way back, I stumbled upon a large pack of Sika Deer occupying a backyard parking lot with a single car, among them a mother? and her little Bambi? I suppose. They were being caring with each other and really cute. I made a lot of pictures that I will force upon you now :-) Before I left the island I also made a last minute visit to Daiganji and the 5 story pagoda next to Hokokujinja Senjokaku Pavilion. Last stop before I grabbed my luggage was a souvenir store that had some real treasures among the usual stuff... I found a large and antique Akabeko (Red Cow from Aizu) that was priced at a laughable 400yen. I wondered how It got here (it was the only Akabeko on Miyajima, someone must have bought it in Aizu Prefecture a long time ago) I decided to adopt it. I also found a real cool antique mini drawer with many fully functional tiny compartments, lacquered and painted and definitely worth more than that 5000yen they asked for it. My luggage weight is now getting dangerously close to 30kg. I can't really buy much else now or I will be on trouble :-) The ferry ⛴️ brought me safely back to Miyamaguchi Station and I journeyed to Hofu in about 2 hours, my half way to Fukuoka stopover for the Night.

Ich fragte mich, wie sie hierher kam (es war die einzige Akabeko auf Miyajima, jemand muss sie vor langer Zeit in der Präfektur Aizu gekauft haben) Ich beschloss, sie zu adoptieren. Ich habe auch eine wirklich cooles antikes Mini-Schmuck? Schränkchen mit vielen voll funktionsfähigen kleinen Fächern gefunden, lackiert und bemalt und definitiv mehr wert als die 5000 Yen, die sie verlangt hatten. Mein Gepäckgewicht nähert sich mittlerweile gefährlich der 30-kg-Marke. Ich kann jetzt nicht wirklich viel anderes kaufen, sonst bekomme ich Ärger :-) Die Fähre ⛴️ brachte mich sicher zurück zum Bahnhof Miyamaguchi und ich fuhr in etwa 2 Stunden nach Hofu, meinem Zwischenstopp auf halbem Weg nach Fukuoka für die Nacht.Read more
