Today we arrived in our next port city: Corfu, Greece! We met our amazing tour guide Irene and started with a walk through the city around the old fortress. We learned about the history/culture of Corfu, and about the easter tradition of clay pot-smashing to honor the resurrection of Jesus (see all the broken red clay pieces on the ground).
Then we got to have a lunch of traditional greek foods/wine at the sailing club next to the ionian sea!! Everything was delicious and it was a gorgeous view.
Then we got free time to walk around Corfu and explore the shops. We met some lovely shop owners, got some jewelry and souvenirs, and had delicious wild strawberry ice cream that is only made on the island of Corfu, and only made for 2 months of the year :) It was amazing and we were lucky to be here at the right time to try it!Baca lagi
