    Day 1 in Portland!

    We arrived in Portland! Got our rental car & checked into our hotel, which is in such a cute area. Walked to a local pizza place Sizzle Pie for lunch, then drove along the Columbia River to Multnomah Falls which was absolutely breathtaking!

    After the falls, we drove back to the city and visited Powell’s City of Books which was huge and so fun to explore! Then had some delicious Thai food for dinner at Somtum, and ended the night with a cocktail at Hey Love bar (which was all decked out for Christmas)!    Læs mere

    Day 2 in Oregon Coast/Portland!

    This morning we grabbed some coffee, then started our drive along the beautiful “Trees to Seas Scenic Byway” out to the coast!

    Once at the coast, we drove through Tillamook and then made our first stop in Oceanside! We stopped at some overlooks, a lighthouse, and the “Octopus Tree” (which were all incredibls) before we had lunch at a quaint coastal cafe The Blue Agat (such great seafood and homemade, fresh maple donuts)! We then walked down to Tunnel Beach which was amazing, you walk from one beach to another through a tunnel that goes underneath a cliff!

    Next we drove through Oswald State Park and stopped at some overlooks as well as a small hike out to Elk Flats Rock. All of this was just so incredibly beautiful! Lastly, we drove up to Cannon Beach where we visited Hug Point beach, then had a drink and some snacks at The Wayfarer while overlooking Haystack Rock.

    Oregon —> Vegas!

    We started off today getting brunch with our fabulous second cousin Marisa at a place called Screen Door, which was delicious! So fun to catch up and get a glimpse of her life in Oregon :)

    Then we flew from Portland to Vegas (see some in-flight pictures below, the only time I remembered to take pictures today lol).

    Uncle Kevin picked us up at the airport and we went out to dinner at one of his local favorite spots Claim Jumper, then grabbed some groceries for the week and hung out until Mom, Dad, and Sean’s flight got in! Excited for part 2 of our trip! 🎸🎰    Læs mere

    Vegas Day 1

    This morning we took advantage of the beautiful weather by taking a walk around Uncle Kevin’s neighborhood!

    We then drove over to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area which has a 13-mile scenic loop where you drive around and stop at lookouts to see the views/climb through the rocks! It was awesome, gorgeous views and amazing weather :) We then got lunch at Yard House in the Red Rock Casino!

    In the evening, we got dinner at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab inside Caesar’s Palace which was delicious. Then we went to the Caesar’s Palace Casino where we won the jackpot (lol not really)!! But had a lot of fun 🤑    Læs mere

    Vegas Day 2 (pt. 1)

    Most of us started with a chill morning enjoying Uncle Kevin’s patio and some coffee, but Sean and Kevin got up and hiked at Black and Red Mountain (see video at the end)!

    Then we all met up at the Hoover Dam where we got to walk on the overlook bridge and walk along the top of the Dam. It was such a cool thing to see, so much history!

    We then headed to Boulder City which was such an adorable little town, and got lunch/beer at a place called Beer Zombies which was so cool. Did some antique shopping around the area and headed home!

    Currently getting ready for our night: The Eagles Concert at The Sphere! Can’t wait…will do a second post all about the show later tonight 🎸🎰    Læs mere

    Vegas Day 2 (pt. 1)

    Here it is - the main event!! Tonight we grabbed a quick dinner at Claim Jumper and then drove to The Strip! We stopped at an Eagles fan event at The Venetian before walking over to The Sphere for the show…

    There are truly no words to describe how INCREDIBLE this show was. Watching living music legends at this venue was just a once in a lifetime experience. They sounded phenomenal, and the Sphere venue was breathtaking beyond words. To be there all together as a family was just priceless!! We all left in complete awe of what we had just seen 🤯
